FROM THE PAST...

TS Holdings's history dates back to 1956, when Emerson Electric - Thermal Systems Division - pioneered an exciting new application for a process called sublimation. Sublimation is a process which uses massive amounts of thermal energy in effecting a transformation of a solid material directly into gasses without an intermediate liquefying stage.

When Emerson spun off this division in 1967, a new company - Thermal Science, Inc. (TSI) was organized. It took the subliming technology, which had already been used successfully in rockets and satellites, and applied it to industrial and commercial purposes.
